This is recognised as a much used pedestrian, cycle and vehicle way leading out of Bridgnorth to the villages of Tasley, Haughton and The Smithies.

Preserving it’s rural character and improving the safety of all users of this road, both existing and new, is of paramount importance and it is felt that vehicular traffic should be encouraged (or even diverted) into the new development via the new spine road, allowing the southern part of Church Lane to give greater priority to pedestrians and cyclists.
